Every election location has an application you need to fill out to become a poll worker. If you want to jumpstart the process, go to Work Elections, find your form, fill it out and submit. Alternatively, you can wait and a Poll Hero team member will text you the right link to complete.
What is this form for?
The Poll Hero Project is here to make your journey to becoming a poll worker as easy as possible. One part of this is directly sending you any forms that you’ll need to fill out. After you sign up with us, we’ll text you the link to the application to help you keep moving along your journey to becoming a poll worker.
You can get a head start before we text you.
If you’re hankering to get a move on before we contact you, you can go to Work Elections to find the link for the official form for your city. Complete that form and you’ll be well on your way.
What if the application asks for approval from my school?
If you’re under 18, the application may require a signature from someone at your school. If that’s the case, pick an administrator or teacher who is quick to respond by email and send them the form along with this email:
Dear [Name] — I am very excited about being a poll worker on Election Day. It’s an opportunity to serve our country and defend democracy. I would really appreciate it if you would support my interest to participate in the democratic process. To that end, can you please complete the attached form excusing me from school on Election Day? — Thanks! [Your Name]
