Your day will start early.
Most states open their polls at either 6 or 7 AM. Plan to be at your assigned polling location at least one hour early or at the time designated by your elections officials. If your state’s polls open at 6 AM, you will have to be at your polling location as early as 5 AM.
Set your alarm.
Make sure that you set your alarm for the right time. If you live with your parents or friends, have them set theirs for the same time to make sure that you don’t sleep in.
Get a good night’s sleep.
Go to bed early the night before Election Day so that you can be up bright and early to get to your assigned polling location on time! Set an alarm (or two or three), especially if you are not a morning person.
Leave on time and follow your plan.
Make sure to get out the door at the right time. If there’s bad weather on Election Day, leave a little early.
Make sure you bring your safety equipment.
Don’t leave your house with out your protective equipment (face masks, etc.)
